Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE) Outlines Key Times for Advocacy
2009 has already been and will continue to be a busy time for advocacy. You have already activated your local networks to respond to the Stimulus alerts. This week (March 2) is a good time to tell your network that, over the course of the year, you will be going back to them for the following:
- To participate in the upcoming March-April letter writing campaign by writing a personalized letter to your three federal legislators. The campaign will launch March 9-10.
- To respond to 3-4 action alerts.
- If applicable, to invite your legislators to visit your local adult education program while they are home on break.
Create or expand your local networks now. See Creating Responsive Networks and Writing Legislators for tips and tools.
